Inspire Foundation
The Inspire Foundation is the organisation behind ReachOut.com. It's a national non-profit organisation that was established in 1996 in direct response to Australia’s then rising rates of youth suicide. Young people are at the centre of all Inspire does – as partners in the development and delivery of all Inspire projects. Inspire uses technology innovatively to reach thousands of young people. Our work is evidence-based and underpinned by research and evaluation, conducted in partnership with academic institutions and research centres.
Within the Inspire Foundation there is a team which works directly with ReachOut.com and the young people involved in the service. This includes:

Young people
Young people are involved in every aspect of the ReachOut.com site. They are directly involved in content creation for the site, including contributing stories and commenting on fact sheets, as well as writing other content on topics that are relevant to them. Young volunteers also review content before it goes on the website, to ensure it remains helpful and engaging.
On the community side, volunteers monitor the website and forums and report worrying posts to staff to ensure the space remains safe and positive. They have also been an important part of ReachOut.com’s evolution, testing and commenting on all new features of the website before they go live, to ensure the site makes sense to young people.
