A challenge I have overcome and lessons I've learnt
In year 12 I felt there was immense pressure to decide what I want to do with the rest of my life. I had a crappy career's advisor who told me I couldn't do what I thought I wanted to do. I half heartedly chose a degree that I thought would be ok - but I was feeling really unfulfilled & unhappy. Once I got to uni I discovered there were lots of options - I had to do alot of research myself (nights & nights of my mum & I searching the internet) but I found a way to change my degree to do something I enjoyed. I finished my teaching degree in 2004, taught for a year and then went on to work here at Inspire - & I love it! I learnt that you have control over your future and if you really want something you can go out and get it.
