How does Reach Out help young people?

RO young people

Reach Out helps young people by:

  • Improving your understanding of the issues that relate to your mental health and wellbeing, and providing information to better understand other people's experiences.
  • Increasing your ability to bounce back from a tough time by building communication, problem solving, coping skills and thinking styles.
  • Breaking down the stigma attached to seeking help and increasing knowledge of how you can get the best help from services.
  • Connecting young people so you can share stories and provide support to each other in a safe and positive environment.

The confidential and anonymous nature of Reach Out provides young people with a non-threatening first step to explore how they can help themselves through a tough time.

How many people does Reach Out reach each year?

In the last twelve months Reach Out is averaging over 136,000 unique visits each month with each person spending an average of 2 minutes in Reach Out each visit.
