Calling All Reach Out Reporters...YOU!

Get PAID to Create Multi-Media Content for Reach Out! 

SAY WHAT?

Reach Out is on the lookout for talented and creative young people to be part of our Reach Out Reporter Multi-Media Content Team.

The Reach Out Reporters are a team of enthusiastic and talented young people (aged 16-25) commissioned to create multi-media content for ReachOut.com

As a member of the Reach Out Reporters you will have the opportunity to:

Gain valuable face-to-face training in multi-media content development (video, writing, blogging, and photography).

Create multi-media content for Reach Out over a 6-month period.

Have your work syndicated in other media.

Get PAID for your work!

HOW TO APPLY:

If you’ve got what it takes to entertain, inform, spark debate, and advocate, while leaving your audience wanting more then send an application to ReachOut.com.

There are two steps to the application process:

1. Create an original piece of content

To apply to the Reach Out Reporters Multi-Media Content Team you need to create ONE piece of content addressing the topic: 

“The Biggest Challenge Youth in Australia face is...”

The content must be presented in one of the following formats:

 

  • A 300 word opinion piece; OR
  • 1-2 minute video; OR
  • A photo story with 3-5 images and a 100 word story attached

 

2. Tell us about yourself

 

  • Please include 200 words about yourself in any style.
  • Provide 3 themes/topics you are interested in and why they are important to a wider youth audience.

 

WHY THIS IS AWESOME…

You will get paid, gain skills and experience by creating multi-media content that you care about.

OTHER STUFF:

Please note:

 

  • Successful applicants will need to be available to attend a free multi-media content workshop in October in Sydney (flights and expenses covered by Reach Out).
  • Chosen applicants will need an Australian Business Number (ABN) before the publication of their first paid piece.
  • Chosen applicants will also need a tax file number.
  • Each participant will be guaranteed one PAID piece of content.
  • Participants will pitch ideas weekly.
  • Each week up to 2 pieces will be commissioned.

yeah we would appreciate it if you used creative commons so look at http://freemusicarchive.org/curator/Creative_Commons/ for some copyright free music.  Or make your own with garageband!!!

This sounds very interesting.  I am a 38 year-old journalism student (Masters) so it seems I'm too old to fit the criteria to contribute.  (That's actually hard to say out loud.  I thought I was still sort of young...ish).
