A new Inspire site: Between the Lines
The Inspire Foundation has just launched a brand new site: Between the Lines (BTL). http://www.betweenthelines.net.au
BTL aims to facilitate a community where people can discuss and debate drugs, find information and help that will ultimately reduce problematic drug use - it takes a harm minimisation approach.
The site is aimed at 18-25 year old people who take drugs recreationally, are curious about taking drugs or worried about a friends use.
How is it different to Reach Out?
Inspire exists to help young people live happier lives, but people have different needs at different times. So some users of Reach Out may also use Between the Lines, but it depends on their needs and interests at the time.
The best way of describing the difference is that Reach Out and Between the Lines are neighbours that live in the same hood.
- Reach Out is there for young people to help them get through tough times.
- Between the Lines is there for all young people who don’t think their drug use is risky and who don’t listen to people who judge their drug use either.
- The similarity: is being able to get what you need, on your own terms.
- The difference: BTL is not a place for connection or discussion about mental health or life issues unless they are related to drugs or alcohol.

Reply ReportWicked!! this has definately helped me help one of my best friends. shes alot happier as she has had some problems in the past with drugs and alcohole and she wants others to be aware of drugs and alcohole use as she has :) thanks!!

Reply ReportI checked the site out and loved it! I would not say it is personally relevant (except maybe the alcohol side of things) however issues related to drug use have had an impact on my life and also I am interested to know more about them.
What I loved about the site is it just has this really cool laid back vibe - perfect for the style of site! It feels easy to navigate, like you can hear from others and learn about drugs and alcohol in a non-judgemental sort of place. Awesome!
