The Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME) is today (the 21st of July) launching it's first ever national hoodie day! The intention of today is to raise awareness and help support Indigenous kids to finish school at the same rate as their fellow Australians.
It's about recognising the kinds of disadvantages that our Indigenous kids face and walking with them to overcome these and reach their goals. Celebrities such as Ian Thorpe, Yolanda Be Cool, Wendell Sailor, Andrew Forrest, Adam Spencer, Libby Trickett, The South Sydney Rabbitohs and the Waratah have stepped up to the challenge... can you? Reply ReportAwesome idea I think this is. Thanks for posting it up Bells! It is a shame that today I decided against wearing my usual hoodie, in exchange for my Italia jumper. Damn. LOL! Perhaps I can just wear hoodies for the rest of the week?
