Dealing with Anger: Thursday InfoBus
We see often see anger in our day to day lives. It is in our movies, television and our music. We all get angry, about things that are unfair or when things don't go the way we expect, but how often do we stop to think about what anger really is and how we cope with this emotion?
Anger is a natural emotion, it is not a new concept and many ancient stories depict times of anger and it consequences. It often seems to exist in connection with other strong emotions but is often the one that surfaces that we can pin point. Anger is also seen differently across many countries and responded to differently across cultures and dealt with differently from family to family.
The idea of anger management has grown in popularity with groups and classes being offered particularly for young people and in schools. Is anger always negative? What is it about anger that needs to be managed? And how?
This week we’ll be joined by Youth Focus from Perth on the ReachOut.com forums for a discussion on anger. Join the Infobus this Thursday at 7:30pm Perth time, and be sure to bring your ideas and opinions to join the conversation.
