Let's get physical
Today is National Ride to Work Day...Did you ride?
Even if you missed the boat on this one...or bike...it is still a good time to take stock of where you are with your physical activities. What have you been doing lately?
Physical activity doesn’t have to be running fast to nowhere on a treadmill or lifting weights that are bigger than your head while beefed up guys strain themselves next to you!
There are so many options available to us these days:
1.Taking a brisk walk or run around your neighbourhood or at your lunch break
2.Going for a swim in your community pool or the nearest beach
3.Playing football with your friends
4.Doing yoga or pilates
What’s your favourite physical activity? Let's hear it, it might be something someone else hasn't thought of trying yet!

Reply ReportI heart yoga too! I started really focusing on it when I moved to Australia and now it is a such a huge part of my life. It helped me a lot to find focus, stability and calmness in a place that was unfamiliar to me.

Reply ReportI heart yoga and have taken up running around my local lake. I find it a great way to unwind after being at work throughout the day.

Reply ReportI used to ride to work every day and then my life got complicated with a baby and living further away from work. I'm pretty bummed that I don't ride these days - it was so good for my head space.
Note to self: get back on bike ya slacker!

Group activities sound great, especially if they provide support. Trampoline! wow I have to try that at some point :)

Reply ReportWhen Me and my mates use to live close to one another and were to get bored we use to head down to the local oval and playground and make up little obsticle courses together, this was a good way to get fit but also have some laughs and do something supportive in a group.
Using the trampoline is a good exercise also and alot of fun.
Im enjoy swimming alot aswell.

Reply ReportI normally ride to work but totally missed it today!
I try to get at least 30 mins of exercise in every day. If I don't I end up feeling all tired and droopy (just like a flat tyre). It's amazing how a bit of exercise in the morning helps me for the rest of the day, and how much I notice it if I hit the snooze button on my alarm and laze about.
I've been getting into yoga again recently. I really love the feeling of stretching and noticing improvements each time I get a little more elastic.

Reply Report- Hanging upside down, whist abseiling when coming down a very tall rock (good for the legs, feet & brain = LOTS of concentration)
