Putting the cool in school
Some of you might wonder at times what goes on behind the scenes at ReachOut.com? When we're not helping young people write amazing content (:P), what are we doing with our time?
Well, at ReachOut.com we're always trying to think of new and creative ways to spread the word about the importance of addressing youth mental health in Australia. Each year we challenge ourselves to come up with original ways of sharing our info with as many young people in Australia as possible.
One of our newest fundraising campaigns is aimed at getting the word out to high school students, encouraging school captains to act as advocates for mental health in their schools. We've ingeniously titled it the 'Back to [High] School' Appeal (clever, yes?) and are asking as many people as possible to donate $44 to a highschool of their choice. We've had some generous donations so far and think it's cool how enthusiastic people are about the campaign.
So there you go, we're not just pretty faces behind computer screens. We're actually brilliant masterminds always concocting new ways of getting mental health and wellbeing on the agenda for approximately 22 million Australians. Ambitious? Maybe. Brilliant? Why thank you.
