Climbing the OCD mountain

ocd_table

By: Rhett

I live in a world with rules that control my life,

I am the prisoner of OCD,

I spend my time worrying about the irrational,

Analysing everything,

Consumed with so much thought,

Senseless as it seems,

One thought can take so much time,

Am I missing all the good things?

I miss the days when I didn't care,

When I didn't know a thing,

But now this disorder eats at me,

And all I can do seems to be nothing.

Time to climb the mountain,

And look back down and see,

Just how far I have come now,

Since I realised I was fighting the evil OCD.

I refuse to live with OCD anymore,

With mindless rules like a game,

I am no longer the prisoner of OCD

And won't waste my time fighting irrational things.

No more analysing everything,

The top of the mountain is near,

To look up and shout to the world,

"OCD I will not fear!"

You will no longer hold me in a prison,

In my broadened mind,

You will be the prisoner from now

Til, the end of time.
