Youth Ambassador Program
Since 1998, over 1000 people from all over Australia have been Youth Ambassadors for Reachout.com. They have played a vital role in the guidance and direction of ReachOut.com, ensuring ReachOut.com works.
Youth Ambassadors today still play a critical role in making sure ReachOut.com has a positive impact. Youth Ambassadors influence everything Reach Out does, including our marketing campaigns, the projects that we run, and exciting new features on the site.
The Youth Ambassador program is flexible, giving you the choice on how you want to be involved.Some of the things our Youth Ambassadors have done in the past include:
- Facilitating and participating in feedback sessions with the Federal Minister for Mental Health;
- Speaking to and being published in newspapers and other media about their experiences with the ReachOut.com program;
- Participating in and contributing to research about young people’s mental health and wellbeing;
- Create written and video content for the ReachOut.com site
- Advising us on the direction of our projects and programs; and
- Presenting at events about the ways young people engage and seek support online.
By providing the space for you to set the direction of ReachOut.com, and a platform for you to be the voice of Reach Out, we can make sure that everyone using ReachOut.com are getting the support and attention they need, want and deserve.

To become a Youth Ambassador you must first get involved in one of ReachOut.com’s Special Projects. Special Projects can range from video production right through to community building.
