What's Movember all about?

Have you noticed that the general population tends to have hairier faces around November each year? It’s not just a random coincidence – it’s all part of Movember. Movember takes place throughout November each year and is an opportunity for members of the public to raise money that will help to spread awareness about testicular and prostate cancer, and men’s mental health. It usually involves growing (or trying to grow) a moustache in return for donations.

It’s all about raising funds for research, providing men in need with care, and starting an important conversation around men’s health and the things that we can do to encourage men to take action in order to stay healthy, both mentally and physically. Find out more about Movember and the awesome events they’re hosting all around Australia.

What can I do now?

  • Ask your friends how they're doing.
  • Get involved with Movember - there's something for everyone.
  • Think about some of the ways you can get creative with your moustache this November.
