Carissa: I was around four years old when my bullying first kind of started because I went into school and basically as soon as I got there I was outcasted. People made a lot of fun of me because I was just so different. Carissa: I had this big crazy hair and this big personality. It was easy to push around the kid that's different. I just felt I never had any friends and anytime I tried to pursue friends, I was rejected and they were always telling me things about myself that I was fat and I was ugly and that nobody wanted me. Carissa: Hearing that so often for so long you learn to believe it. The way I got out of it mostly was I got some help. My parents really supported me and they helped me go find someone who I can talk to about my problems and really express all that hurt and that pain that I never dealt with for years. It took a long time, but I got there with all the treatment and support I've become a better person than I thought I could ever be.
