So you were halfway through streaming Game of Thrones about to find out who the night king really is and your Wi-Fi dropped out. Far out. Rather than throwing the modem at the wall, try this meditation. There's literally no excuse -you just told us your shows not loading. Sit up straight and comfortably in a chair is totally fine. Place your feet flat on the floor. You can keep your eyes half open or close them. Pay attention now to the sound of your breath. Focus on that weird sound as you breathe in through your nose and the kind of whoosh sound as you breathe out. Now listen out for other sounds around you. Let the sounds come to you and notice how they come and go. Maybe you can hear a car or a bird. You definitely can't hear Game of Thrones. Try not to focus on what type of bird that is or how you wish it would shut up in the mornings when you're trying to sleep. Just allow the sound to be there as it is You may already be thinking about your show. Has it loaded yet? Is my Wi-Fi working again? If that bloody red light blinks at me one more time... Don't worry, that's totally normal. Gently put these thoughts aside and focus back on the sounds you can hear. If you're getting annoyed with a certain sound, try to just allow it to be there and notice the reaction you're having. Now, bring your attention back to your body sitting in this room. Feel the breath moving in and out. When you're ready, you can gently open your eyes and go back to your show, fingers crossed.
