Stressed or anxious?
Try these 3 steps to calm your nerves
Take a breath
When you’re feeling overwhelmed, take a breath to calm yourself down. Try the 4–7–8 technique: breathe in for four seconds, hold your breath for seven seconds, and exhale for eight seconds.
Deal with distraction
It can be hard to concentrate or even take a proper break when you’ve got distractions, like your family making a racket all the time. Take a moment to find your own corner, put on some headphones and listen to your favourite playlist.
Talk to someone about how you’re feeling
Telling somebody about how you’re feeling can help lift the weight off your shoulders. Send a message to a mate letting them know what’s up, and ask if you can chat to them about it.
