ReachOut.com welcomes Mission Australia’s 2014 Youth Survey, reporting that more than 50% of young Australians go online for help and support on important issues. Not only that, the internet is their first stop for help after family and friends.
The findings highlight the importance of ReachOut.com as an online source of help. By making it easy for young people to overcome mental health stigma, understand what they’re going through, and get help, ReachOut.com plays a crucial role in young Australians' lives.
Young Australians have also named stress, school or study problems and body image as their three top concerns in the survey. 1 in 4 young Australians live with a serious mental illness, so ReachOut.com recognises the need to make sure efficient and effective help is available for them.
