The Check-in app...for tricky conversations

It’s tough watching your mates go through hard times, and it’s only natural to want to help them. That’s what friends are for, right? But sometimes you might not know what to say. The Check-in app will give you the confidence to ask, ‘Hey, mate… How are you going?’ – and then help you with what to say next.

This can help if:

  • you want to help a friend who is going through a tough time

  • you don't know what to say to your friend

  • you're interested in using apps to help with tricky conversations.

The Check-in is really easy to use, with simple tips, plans and resources that will help you to be there for your friends.

The app will take you through four easy steps – from planning where and when you’ll check in and what you might say, to deciding how best to support the people you care about.

Once you’ve had a chat with your mate, you can check back in on the app and rate how it went. The Check-in will then advise you on what to do next.

So, if you’re worried about someone, open The Check-in app and start a conversation – because it really can be as simple as saying, ‘Are you okay?’
